The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride is the most ambitious charity cycling event for childhood cancer in the world. From June 13 to June 24, 2009, National Cyclists embarked on a trans-Canada odyssey, riding 7,000 km from Vancouver to Halifax. Along the way, thousands of Canadians joined them in ÒRide AlongsÓ from 25 to 200 km. The National Riders visited pediatric oncology centres and hospitals along the way, as the team attempted to raise millions of dollars for charities that improve the quality of life for children living with and beyond cancer.
