Après avoir complété avec succès une activité de formation donnant droit aux CEC de Can-Fit-Pro, vous recevez un certificat de réussite Can-Fit-Pro que vous pourrez utiliser comme preuve de CEC, et ainsi conserver votre certification auprès de Can-Fit-Pro. There are no pre-requisites. You will learn all the basic postures of yoga, along with some adaptations. Safety considerations will be taught, as well as an introduction to yoga philosophy and history. An in-depth manual and class formats are provided and a Certificate of Attendance is presented to everyone at the end of Module 1. Septembre 20 - Septembre 21: Fast Track Fitness Yoga Teacher Training Module 2

 Module 2 consists of a 2-day training that builds on the knowledge and skills introduced in Module 1 (required pre-requisite). Focus will be on sequencing, flow, verbal coaching cues, modifications and adaptations – especially as pertains to working with older adults, osteoporosis, elevated blood pressure. Theory and practice of hands on alignment, as well as many other class presentation skills including multi-level classes. A practical component which takes place the second day of the training, ensures that teachers graduating from this program have incorporated the knowledge, and demonstrated the skills necessary to qualify for Fitness Yoga Teacher Certification.

 We’re supposed to “eat healthy” and “stay in shape” but do you understand the importance of balancing energy intake and expenditure? Do you know the numbers that create a daily formula for success? Even when you know the numbers, the biggest challenge everyone faces is staying motivated during the transition period from old habits to new, and turning those new habits in routine living. We’ll review how the various stages of behaviour change affect motivation and those “in-the-moment” choices that impact success. Learn how to tap into your clients’ unique value system, making behaviour change sustainable over the long term. Using tools that examine every aspect of their eating patterns, learn to recognize which of your clients’ habits assist in maintaining good health and which could be changed for the better.  10 Sunday afternoons from October – February, plus home assignments. The curriculum focuses on how Yoga works, the history and philosophical groundings of Yoga, and an exploration of the fundamental poses of Yoga. The style of yoga is Vinyasa Flow Yoga – a dynamic system that marries mind, asana and breath. You will also learn how to instruct and set up classes, the purpose of each asana, verbal cueing, and some hands-on corrections. Yoga Teacher Training Eligibility While we recommend a home practice of at least one year, anyone sincerely interested in Yoga is most welcome to enroll in the course in order to expand his or her own practice and knowledge with or without the desire for yoga certification. Our school recognizes its responsibility for maintaining its excellent reputation for high standards.  Using current rehabilitation principles, this course teaches the fitness trainer how to perform a simple and efficient examination of clients to assess for muscular imbalances, weakness and inflexibility. These tests form a solid basis and foundation to determine when clients are at risk of injury with training, and at what level of training they should begin at. Graduated step-by-step exercises are given that are specific to the management of the imbalances and weaknesses found, as well as exercises designed to prevent common injuries, such as low back, shoulder and knee problems. Octobre 24: Working With Special Populations: Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia and Other Physical Problems

 Working with osteoporosis patients takes specialized knowledge. Using improper exercise techniques can increase the patient’s risk of fracturing and will limit their ability to stop bone loss and increase bone mass. The first four hours of this course will teach trainers how to design a safe and effective training program for the osteoporosis patient. Information being provided will include: Understanding the disease, medications, assessment, stopping bone loss, increasing bone mass, the implementation of proper exercise techniques and program design. During the second four hours, information about how to assess and train clients with the following diseases and physical problems will be provided: Diabetes, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, postural issues, obesity risk factors, carpal tunnel syndrome and cancer. The impact of fatigue on strength gains, proprioception, the implications of the squat exercise and the back extension exercise on back health will be discussed.

 This module is open to anyone with a sincere interest in learning more about the Tradition of Yoga. If you are presently a fitness instructor, body flow instructor, personal trainer, massage therapist, program director or if you simply wish to deepen your own yoga practice, you are an excellent candidate for Module 1. There are no pre-requisites. You will learn all the basic postures of yoga, along with some adaptations. Safety considerations will be taught, as well as an introduction to yoga philosophy and history. An in-depth manual and class formats are provided and a Certificate of Attendance is presented to everyone at the end of Module 1.  Using current rehabilitation principles, this course teaches the fitness trainer how to perform a simple and efficient examination of clients to assess for muscular imbalances, weakness and inflexibility. These tests form a solid basis and foundation to determine when clients are at risk of injury with training, and at what level of training they should begin at. Graduated step-by-step exercises are given that are specific to the management of the imbalances and weaknesses found, as well as exercises designed to prevent common injuries, such as low back, shoulder and knee problems.
