Christophe is the CEO and founder of Les Mills French and Mediterranean territories with 1100 clubs to administrate. Since 1996, he has also been the CEO and founder of Planet Fitness Group. He is the founder and former president of the French Fitness Federation. Former president of Fisaf International, founder and president of FHRSA, a member of the board of EFHA and of IHRSA European council, Christophe has presented in more than 20 countries.


Nicki Anderson
NASM

Nicki has spent over 25 years in the fitness industry. Once an obese teen, Nicki's passion is teaching fitness professionals how to market to and attract de-conditioned populations. Nicki is the 2008 IDEA Personal Trainer of the year, newspaper columnist, magazine columnist, and author of numerous books. Nicki has owned Reality Fitness Personal Training Studio since 1991.


Mike Bates

Mike is the owner of Refine Fitness Studio in Windsor, Ontario which was the winner of the 2009 Best New Business by the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. He is the co-author of the Can-Fit-Pro PTS manual and Health Fitness Management 2nd ed. and an active teacher in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Windsor. Mike is also a regular speaker at Can-Fit-Pro, Club Industry and IHRSA.


Lawrence Biscontini

Lawrence won ACE Instructor of the Year Award (2002), IDEA (2004), Can-Fit-Pro (Specialty, 2004), and Best Mind-Body Presenter (ECA, 2005). He is the Wellness Consultant for Golden Door Spas and is a Global Master Trainer for Reebok, AFAA, Resist-A-Ball®, Gliding and Smart Bells and creator of Yo-Chi®. Lawrence is a personal trainer, movement specialist, certified nutritional counselor, and author. He has created aquatic, yoga, and tai chi programming, and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Fitness Magazine.


Jay Blahnik

Jay Blahnik was selected as the IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year (1996) and the Can-Fit-Pro International Presenter of the Year (2005). He is a contract athlete and consultant for Nike, and has starred in over 25 award-winning videos. He is a member of the BOSU Development Team, and the author of Full-Body Flexibility. Jay was selected as one of the top five instructors in the world by Shape Magazine, and one of IDEA's Icons and Innovators in 2008.


Paul Brown

Paul is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on member retention and growth. He is the creator of Face2Face Retention System and was selected as IHRSA's Official 120m x 2010 Retention Program. A health operator since 1986, Brown is the President and owner of Crossroads Fitness Club in Utah, USA. He is a former Australian Sport Aerobics Champion, author, and educator. Paul has presented around the world and consistently delivers in his fun and friendly Australian style.

Mike is a marketing and management consultant to the athletic club industry, highly skilled in seminar communications. He is the founder and president of Club Marketing and Management Services, Inc. consulting firm. Mike has been in the club industry since 1965 when he started with the YMCA on the East Coast. As a consultant, he has been involved in the development or management of over 2500 different clubs worldwide. He physically visits more than 1000 clubs per year.

Sandy Coffman

Sandy is owner and president of Programming for Profit, a consulting and training company specializing in customer service, programming, and retention. Can-Fit-Pro has awarded her its Lifetime Achievement Award (2007). Sandy is on the advisory board for ICAA and is the author of Successful Programs for Fitness and Health Clubs: 101 Profitable Ideas, published by Human Kinetics. Sandy has 30 years of success in our industry and is an internationally acclaimed speaker.

Paula brings more than 20 years of experience in the spa and fitness industry. Most recently, Paula was managing director of fitness for Spa Chakra Inc, a luxury spa and health club company where she started the division. Previously she was Area Vice President of The Sports Clubs of Canada/Bally Total Fitness. She has also been a popular speaker at industry conventions and currently is a partner with 360 Impact Group.


Tara-Lyn Dinyer

Tara has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and previous fitness coordinator for McMaster University. While at McMaster, Tara did research in the area of health and exercise psychology with a strong focus on goal setting. She is the author of the Can-Fit-Pro CPR course, and is currently developing the Can-Fit-Pro First Aid course. Tara was the recipient of the PTS PRO Trainer of the Year Award in 2002.


Geoff Dyer

Geoffrey is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lifestyle Family Fitness, a Florida-based club chain with 48 facilities and more than 180,000 members. Dyer is a native of Melbourne, Australia and has 35 years of experience in the fitness industry. During his career, he served as president of the International Health, Racquet & Sports Club Association (IHRSA) 2002-2003, the largest association of health clubs with more than 7000 member clubs worldwide. Geoff was recognized by Ernst & Young as a Florida winner of the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in 2005 and named the 2007 Gulf Coast Business Review "Tampa Bay Area Entrepreneur of the Year."


Helen Goldstein

Helen is the founder and director of The Yoga Studio. Helen is a mind-body educator, Kripalu teacher, and meditation teacher certified by Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Lance Secretan. She was one of the first individuals certified to teach Dr. Chopra's Primordial Sound Meditation in Canada. She instructs with compassion and humour. Helen has been teaching and practicing yoga for over 20 years.

Pat Jacklin

Pat Jacklin, Chief Financial Officer for GoodLife Fitness Clubs, has been working in the field of financial operations for 23 years. Ave is a vice-president of Organizational Effectiveness. She has extensive experience in leadership consulting, organizational performance, and change management strategies and is a MBTI (Myers Briggs) certified instructor. Her education started with Business Administration and a designation in Advanced Human Resources and Change Management. David McLean

David is Chief Talent Officer of GetKeepGrow Inc., a human capital consulting company. He has held leadership positions in both private and public sector organizations, including his role as the Director of People Department for GoodLife Fitness Clubs. As the winner of the Attorney General Award for Innovation in Knowledge Management and the Ontario Public Service Award of Excellence, David helps managers discover and use their leadership potential. Ira McNamara

Ira is well respected in the fitness community for his contagious and sincere personality. He is currently a certified CPR, First Aid, and Defib Instructor and a senior staff member of ADET Inc. Colin Milner

Colin is chief executive officer of the International Council on Active Aging. An award-winning writer, Milner has authored more than 200 articles on aging-related issues and a Vision Paper for the White House Conference on Aging. He has served as an advisor to the U.S. Administration on Aging, The National Institute on Aging, The 2010 Vancouver Olympic Committee, the National Blueprint on Aging and the Canadian Special Senate Committee on Aging.


Hans Muench

A German and Canadian citizen Hans studied the European market for IHRSA (1984-1985), and joined the world trade association for health clubs in 1994 as their first Director of International Development. Since 1979, he ran tennis programs in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. As Chief Development officer for a chain of clubs now known as Elixia, Hans gained insight into club acquisitions and private equity. He has been a speaker in 15 countries, and is IHRSA Director of Europe.

Frank joined GlobalFit in 2006 as President and CEO. Prior to that, he was Senior VP, Strategic Planning and Special Projects for Town Sports International, Inc. (TSI). Frank is past president of IHRSA, having served on its Board of Directors from 1993 - 1997, and currently serving a second term. He received his JD at the Georgetown University Law Center and his BA in Finance, Accounting and Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.


Mark Occhipinti

Mark is the president of the American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA). He has conducted over 65 fitness conferences in 46 states and abroad presenting to over 100,000 health and fitness professionals, including appearances on BBC international interviews. Mark has served on the medical advisory board of several online health websites, and a fitness expert for several US newspapers. He is also a nutritional consultant, strength coach, emergency medical technician, certified massage therapist and certified biofeedback specialist.


David Patchell-Evans

As Canada's most successful fitness entrepreneur, David Patchell-Evans (Patch) continues to forecast, with insight, the future direction of the industry. Paul Plakas

Paul, a personal trainer for 19 years, owns "Custom Fit Personal Training" personal training studio in Edmonton and co-created "The i3 Workout System" exercise video with Michol Dalcourt. Russ Pyper

A fully qualified Instructor Trainer in CPR and First Aid in the advanced levels, he is a Senior Staff Member and Director of Training for ADET (Aquatic Development & Emergency Training) training instructors and maintaining their skills. A member of the Canadian Ski Patrol System (CSPS) (1996), become an Instructor in 2000 and then an Instructor Trainer in 2005 and now holds the position Director of CPR in 2006 for the CSPS Kawartha Zone.

Erika is an avid runner and triathlete, a former competitive synchronized swimmer, and water polo player. Previously Can-Fit-Pro's Marketing Manager, she has presented at a variety of conferences and workshops conducting running clinics focused on improving speed and distance. Teaching a variety of cycling classes each week, Erika has a passion for athleticism, sport and health, and inspires her class participants to find their inner athlete.


Ray Zahab

Winner of some of the world's most difficult and challenging ultra-distance foot races, Ray Zahab is motivated by challenge, distance and discovery. Late in 1998, Ray made a life changing decision to leave a pack-a-day smoking habit and very unhealthy life choices behind him. He has made history by running 4300 miles across the entire Sahara Desert raising awareness for clean-water initiatives in Africa and breaking the world speed record from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole, becoming the first person to trek to the South Pole. In 2008, Ray founded impossible2Possible (i2P), an organization that aims to inspire and educate youth through adventure learning, and inclusion and participation in expeditions.
