A proposed new music copyright tariff is threatening all Canadian fitness clubs and facilities. 3417The proposed new tariff will require fitness clubs and facilities to make a three dollar payment per class, plus five percent of their gross revenue. This proposed tariff will force many fitness clubs and facilities in Canada out of business; we cannot wait and see how the government addresses the issue. This is the time to support and protect our industry and our businesses. It is critical that all clubs of all sizes merge forces on the issue and for club owners and managers to have a unified voice. Together, we can stop this money grab that could potentially put many of us out of business.
