Sears National Kids Cancer Ride is the biggest and most ambitious charity cycling event for childhood cancer in the world. From June 2 to 20, 2008, 100 cyclists embarked on a trans-Canada odyssey, riding 7,600km from Vancouver to Halifax, while thousands more joined in for distances of 25-200km. The national riders visited pediatric oncology centres and hospitals along the way and raised millions of dollars on behalf of charities that improve the quality of life for children, and their families, living beyond cancer.
