Man is making smoothie

I love this smoothie and enjoy it on the days I feel like I just didn’t eat as well as I should have the day before! It gives me the energy to feel like a Leaping Leprechaun with the vitamins and minerals I need to keep me going all day! The best part is, I can give it to my mom (who hates green veggies) and she thinks it’s a treat, not a healthy breakfast.

I like to make my own almond milk, but as long as it’s unsweetened, the one you use is fine. I like kale but my go-to green is still spinach. It has everything I want in a green and is so easy to add to almost everything from soup to salad to smoothie. Avocado is one of those foods that people love or hate. For me, I love it way too much! It is practically impossible for me just to eat just ¼ or 1 serving. One of my favorite new products is frozen avocado. You can use the amount needed in a recipe without it calling your name from the fridge and causing you to eat the whole thing. The great thing about this smoothie is that avocado haters won’t even know it’s there.

I love my tea. I drink loose leaf green tea blends throughout the day, but when it comes to my smoothies I add Matcha Tea Powder. Matcha tea contains catechins, a potent class of antioxidants that provide cancer-fighting properties. Matcha is made by grinding the entire tea leaf, which provides a powerful arsenal of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in a way no other green tea can. Matcha also has an unbelievable ORAC rating of 1573 units per gram, 20 times more than blueberries or pomegranates.
