RawTella

Hazelnuts when combined with the rich taste of cocoa and just enough raw honey create this epic nutrient dense “chocolate” goodness.

This guilt free treat is satisfying, giving you a good dose of nutrients needed for your body in order to function optimally and speed up recovery after a gym session; also it tastes delicious.

With conventional chocolate spreads typically you will find a long list of ingredients, most of which we can not even pronounce, that is when RawTella comes in to play. It is raw, gluten free, dairy free, chemical and filler free.

Hazelnuts are nature’s minerals. They are high in iron, magnesium, phosphorous, copper, manganese, and a great source of vitamin E, folate, B6, and thiamine.

Thiamine is involved in the production of energy by converting carbohydrates into energy, and aids in heart function, muscles, and the nervous system.

Vitamin E is a great antioxidant source which helps protect cells from oxidation. It plays an important role in red blood cell formation, helps heal skin from wounds and assists in minimizing wrinkles.

Cocoa is the rich, dark brown powder which gives chocolate its colour and taste. With high levels of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium cocoa adds the chocolaty flavour which we all love.

Iron is needed for the production of hemoglobin, needed for oxygen delivery throughout the body.

Magnesium helps with bone health, new cell formation, activates B vitamins, relaxes nerves and muscles, and in energy production.

Ingredients:

  • 1 C Hazelnuts, raw or lightly roasted
  • 4-6 TBS Water
  • 2 TBS Raw Honey
  • 3 TBS Organic Cocoa Powder

Directions:

Lightly roast hazelnuts in a non stick skillet. Remove skin and place in a high speed food processor. Grind nuts until smooth and buttery, oil separation may occur depending on the device used. Add cocoa powder, water, and honey. Mix well, transfer to a jar and enjoy. You can add more water to achieve desired consistency.

If you are creating the hazelnut butter from nuts, a high speed processor is required, otherwise, use pre-made hazelnut butter. It may be found in most health food and grocery stores.

Enjoy,
