From your own home, canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series attendees can participate from wherever you are in the world, live streaming education from fitness experts, leaders, pioneers, and innovators from around the globe. You’ll network and chat with one another and engage with some of the world’s most influential fitness professionals. You’ll even connect in a Virtual Trade Show! The Virtual Series takes place over 4 months; August 14-16, September 19-20, October 17-18 and November 14-15. Note that all Intensive trainings and certifications take place on all Sunday dates between August and November.

The All Access Pass ($179) and One Day rate ($79) price is available for both members and non-members alike.  This will give everyone the opportunity to access canfitpro education at a very reasonable price, experience our new virtual series event and connect with each other.  When you register you will have the opportunity to either purchase or renew your membership with canfitpro at the same time. 

canfitpro will track your virtual attendance. You will receive 2 CECs for every day in the series you attend, up to a maximum of 8 CECs. 8 CECs will keep you certified for 2 years.

A desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, phone or similar device with internet availability so you can access Zoom. It is recommended that you test out Zoom and get used to this platform ahead of the event. While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting or Webinar, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself. You will still be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view other participants’ webcam video.

Yes, there is break time scheduled between each session, as well as a designated mid day / lunch break.  On your lunch break you will have time to eat as well as the option to participate in one of our lunchtime workouts!

You do not need any equipment to participate.  Some sessions have a practical component where equipment will be used.  All registrants will receive an email prior to the event listing the equipment suggested so you have time to arrange.  Please note, if you don’t have a piece of equipment available, you are still able to attend the session, and presenters will be prepared to offer alternative options. 

Yes! There will be up to 10 sessions occurring simultaneously. You have the option to switch in and out of each live session to ensure you are participating in the best session for you.

You will be receiving an email outlining what your options are to transfer your (2 Day / 1 Day) registration, including upgrading your registration to a ALL ACCESS PASS, so keep an eye out for that email.  Then contact canfitpro at info@canfitpro.com if you have any questions.  Please do allow 2 to 3 business days for a response (keeping in mind that Saturday-Sunday are not considered business days).  Due to the restrictions surrounding COVID 19 the canfitpro office and phone lines are still closed. 

The canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series will award CECs as follows:  *this will not include any “Pre-Con and or Post-Con” Intensives you may choose to register and attend.

 

ALL ACCESS PASS (4 events): you will automatically earn 8 CECs and these will be automatically credited into your member portal after each event.  All you do is show up (join the live event from your computer) and attend any sessions you wish.  There is no need to register for any sessions ahead of time as this will give you the opportunity to move from session to session as you choose.

September, October and November events: you will automatically earn 2 CECs per event and these will be automatically credited into your member portal after each event.  All you do is show up (join the live event from your computer) and attend any sessions you wish.  There is no need to register for any sessions ahead of time as this will give you  the opportunity to move from session to session as you choose.

Through your member portal you will have access to all of your certification details.  If you have questions about your membership status or you CEC’s, you are able to submit requests by clicking the My Accounts tab at the top right of the screen, and choosing My Requests in the drop down options.  You can also send your inquiry to info@canfitpro.com  and one of our Member Experience Advisors will be happy to provide support.  Please do allow 2 to 3 business days for a response (keeping in mind that Saturday-Sunday are not considered business days).  Due to the restrictions surrounding COVID 19 the canfitpro office and phone lines are still closed. 

canfitpro is waiving all late fees for you to provide you with the opportunity to access the necessary education to earn these CECs. We will also extend deadlines for your certification and membership renewal.   During this COVID-19 Quarantine canfitpro has working very hard to bring top quality education (webinars, online courses such as Stress Resiliency and Health Weight Loss along) along with the opportunity to earn CECs (purchase Quizzes following webinars). We are now able to bring the PTS and FIS theory course to you in a Virtual online world (led by PRO TRAINERS from around the country) as well as conduct the PTS theory exam and practical assessment virtually.  We encourage you to go to your member portal as it has everything you need to know  about your certification and membership status.  If you have any questions contact canfitpro at info@canfitpro.com    Please do allow 2 to 3 business days for a response (keeping in mind that Saturday-Sunday are not considered business days).  Due to the restrictions surrounding COVID 19 the canfitpro office and phone lines are still closed. 

CPR cannot be offered in a virtual / live streaming format of training as the standards for delivering CPR are governed by a Ontario Regulatory Body (WSIB) and through our provider Rescue 7.  At this time canfitpro cannot offer CPR until we are able to re-instate live trainings.  To help canfitpro has extended CPR renewal up to one year from your renewal date and you will find when you go to your member portal that the date of expiration has been extended by one year. 

Thank you for committing to your ongoing professional development.  We are working very closely with our Sponsors to plan for both “Pre & Post Conference Intensives” to be part of the canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series offering however canfitpro will not be able to confirm if the same trainings will be available and available on a date that works with your schedule.  To make it easy for you to move forward in your planning for attending the canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series event, canfitpro will go ahead and refund you for the Pre-Con Intensive that you registered for and you should see this refund within the next 2 weeks.  If you have any questions please go to info@canfitpro.com and a member of our Member Experience Team will respond to you by email within 2-3 business days.  Due to the restrictions surrounding COVID-19 our office and phones are closed.  We are responding to our members via email.

YES,  GoodLife is 100% committed to your ongoing professional  development in your role as a fitness professional and will be honoring the discount available to a GoodLife Associate, based on your role in the company.  You will be able to register online at canfitpro the same way you were instructed to do so for canfitpro 2020.   Please watch for communications directly through Editor at GoodLife for ongoing updates and information and if you have specific questions please contact your direct supervisor at GoodLife; they will have the answers to your questions.  

Due to the ongoing development surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic canfitpro is unsure as to when we would be allowed to bring large groups of people together under one roof. It is virtually impossible for us to predict what the events world will be like come fall however one things will always remain—the power of people connecting.  We are excited to announce the canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series—these 4 events (August through November) will provide every fit pro in Canada to access best-in-class education and training from anywhere and in the safety and comfort of their own home.  If the world opens and a vaccine is discovered and we are granted permission to bring people together, then by all means canfitpro will consider creating a live-in-person event later in the year.  It is however our understanding that running a live event will be highly unlikely until 2021.  We hope all members of canfitpro (and beyond) will register for canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series. Great question.  There are really 3 answers: 1.  We value bringing you best-in-class education and training presented by top industry experts, innovators and entrepreneurs, who invest their time in customizing their presentation so to be able to deliver great virtual learning experiences.  2. canfitpro values their Presenters and remunerates (pays) them for their contribution to our events. 3.  While many conferences give away education for free they sell their CECs after the event. They also charge extra to access recordings of the sessions for viewing afterwards (or if you missed a particular session).  canfitpro is making it easy for you to access both, included in your registration.  CECs will automatically be applied after you attend the event and each CEC has a monetary value of $30.  We want to make it easy for you to earn CECs while at the same time making it easy for you to participate (join in and attend any session you want) and access the sessions free following the event. 

YES absolutely!  We want to ensure we recognize canfitpro certified Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors for their contribution and performance.   The FPOY criteria was launched online earlier in March and we will be incorporating the Awards ceremony into the canfitpro 2020 Virtual Series event in August (in connection with one of the Virtual Receptions).  More information details surrounding the conference schedule will come over the next couple of weeks and all registered delegates will be invited to come together to connect and celebrate each other and the 2020 Fitness Professionals of the Year.  For more information about the FPOY award criteria please click on this link

Cancellation for Events and/or Post Conference Intensive Workshops must be received by email to conferences@canfitpro.com. Cancellations received:

  • 30+ Days Before Event: No cancellation penalties.
  • 7-29 Days Before Event: Incurs a 15% administrative charge of the total event registration fee (plus applicable taxes).
  • Less than 5 Days Before Event: No refunds.
  • No-shows: No refund or credits will be given for no-shows, partially used registration and on-site registration.
