Job Overview

Forge is a structured cohort program that uses shared physical training to help adults build real connections. We place small groups of 6–8 people into 8 or 12-week cohorts built around shared effort, consistency, and trajectory. The training is the vehicle. Belonging is the destination.

We are looking for a Cohort Facilitator who understands that what happens between people in the room matters as much as what happens to their bodies. This is not a standard group fitness role. You are not just programming workouts — you are holding a container where real human bonds form. If that distinction excites you, we want to talk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead twice-weekly group training sessions with the same cohort of 6–8 adults over 8 or 12 weeks
  • Design and program sessions appropriate to the group’s fitness level and cohort goals
  • Create and maintain a consistent, safe, high-energy environment that fosters trust and continuity
  • Show up with full presence and energy every session — consistency is the product
  • Communicate with the Forge team on group dynamics, participant progress, and any concerns
  • Contribute to the kind of atmosphere where people feel seen, challenged, and held accountable

Compensation

Guaranteed flat rate per session (roughly $75-90 per hour) — paid regardless of attendance. No cancellations eating into your income. No chasing clients. 2 sessions per week for 8-12 weeks and you know exactly what you’re making before the cohort even starts. Forge handles all client acquisition, matching, onboarding and administration

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in strength training, powerlifting, CrossFit, functional fitness or hybrid training
  • Minimum 5 years coaching or personal training experience
  • Experience leading small groups — not just one-on-one clients
  • Personal training certification an asset but not required if experience is strong
  • **Access to a training space in Toronto, Mississauga or Burlington is a significant advantage

The Right Person

Beyond credentials, we are looking for someone who has been genuinely changed by being part of a group experience — a team, a training partnership, a program — and who wants to give that to others. Someone who lights up when a group clicks. Who leads from the front. Who understands that showing up consistently for people is itself a form of leadership. If you have coached groups and walked away thinking about the people more than the programming — this role is for you.
