It takes just one class to change someone’s life. They may have been thinking about it for years, or fell off the wagon, or suddenly have a new goal that emboldens them to try out a class for the first time. That experience can determine if they ever come back, or keep coming back. I approach every class knowing that it may be someone’s first time, and potentially someone’s last time in my class. I strive to do the homework and prepare so that they have a safe, effective, efficient, and enjoyable workout that helps them reach their goals, and builds a community of care. I’ve learned a lot and am ready to share that knowledge with future group fitness instructors. My fitness career began in 2006, and I have witnessed many shifts in the industry since that time. My passion is group cycling, yoga, and dance. I have over 15 certifications, and have taught many disciplines, explored many fads, and discovered that the one common denominator that determines the success of an instructor and a class is making sure people feel seen, included, empowered, and successful. As a Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) PRO TRAINER, I offer a strong foundation in designing multiple formats for group fitness classes, and coaching on how to instruct effectively in group exercises environments. I specialize in inclusive language, scripting, and community engagement.
