I am a health and fitness coach and personal trainer whose passion lies in using movement to
improve the physical and mental health of older adults. I have been a trainer since 2016,
focusing on 1-on-1 coaching and teaching online exercise classes for older adults and
individuals with type 2 diabetes. I am fascinated by the brain and body interaction and use
concepts of neuroscience and neuroplasticity to improve my client’s health and wellbeing.
In 2015, as I was preparing for my PhD thesis defense, I signed up to become a certified
personal trainer with canfitpro. I was interested in using exercise to help manage a nagging
shoulder issue and the stress associated with working towards my PhD.
I founded NeuroMotion Wellness in 2016, leveraging a robust foundation in scientific expertise
and my passion for movement and fitness. Based on anatomical knowledge, kinesiology,
biomechanics and neuroscience research, I use science to help guide my clients through
exercise and rehabilitation sessions. I focus on healing the body and, at the same time,
stimulating the brain to make my clients not only physically healthier but also mentally sharper
and smarter, so they can live better and more fulfilling independent lives.
