Fitness Manager – Level 4 Personal Trainer – Goodlife Fitness

Like many, I have struggled with mental health and body image, the expectations imposed by those around me, and feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I found my love for fitness and training through recreational sports and then Teen Fitness Program. Exercising made me feel both light and strong, in control of myself and my future, and continues to teach me how to love myself as I grow and change as a person. The gym quickly became my home and I applied to become a Personal Trainer. As a coach I specialized in pain free performance, as well as endurance training. I have a wide array of experience, though in my recent years I prefer to stay in the areas of prehab and rehab, especially since a serious car accident in 2018 that left me with chronic neck and back pain. Prolonged health and wellness have become my personal focus, and what I aim to instill in those I teach. I developed as a personal trainer into a Fitness Manager, running the personal training department for one of the top clubs in Atlantic Canada. I am skilled in providing unique individual solutions and utterly determined – there is not a goal I have set that I have not reached. My passion for helping others and developing trainers has led me to the Associate Pro Trainer position. I am looking to make an impact in the fitness industry and I can’t think of a better way to do so than through teaching and educating others.
