I am a canfitpro-certified personal training specialist, group fitness instructor specialist, and CALA-certified aqua fitness instructor. I am also licensed to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba and Strong Nation. I am currently working on her yoga instructor certification (RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance), a nutrition and healthy eating certification (HWL) and a women’s coaching certification with Girls Gone Strong. I have taught group fitness at major gym franchises (Movati, LA Fitness, and YMCA) in Toronto and Ottawa, the City of Ottawa, as well as smaller body-positive studios online and in person. I also do online personal training. I incorporate a weight-neutral, body-positive fitness philosophy in my work with clients and students. As an equity, diversity and inclusion consultant, I apply, and I help my students apply an equity and inclusion lens and take a weight-neutral, body-positive approach to their fitness practice. I am a member of Fitness Professionals Against Weight Stigma (UK) and a Board Member of the Body Positive Fitness Alliance (US). I was the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Reviewer of the new third edition of the canfitpro PTS manual, Instructor of the Year at Movati Athletic and was a Top 3 Finalist of the canfitpro Fitness Professional of the Year award. I am proud to be a member of the canfitpro advisory panel.
In my spare time, I also love to write, garden, cook and eat!
