Super "Milk" Shake

I like to think that there are always alternatives, particularly when it comes to food, mainly because we have to consume it in order to survive.

So why not make the most of it? Nutritious and delicious, this “milk” shake is packed with goodness and without the added sugars, fillers, hormones and inflammatory properties we usually get from dairy

High in copper, manganese, iron and magnesium, cocoa is your power drink before or after a workout.


  • 1-2 cups Almond Milk
  • 1-2 TBS Organic Cocoa (sugar and filler free)
  • 1-2 TBS Raw Honey (if using as a pre-workout drink), or
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (if using as a post-workout drink. I used Whey)


Add all ingredients in a blender except for the whey. If you are using honey, add together with all ingredients and blend at the highest speed. Add the whey and blend at the lowest speed for about 20-30 seconds; whey’s molecular structure may change or be altered when blending at a high speed.

Pour in a glass and enjoy.
